BUYING A PUPPY
There are a few points that are very important to me about buying puppies that I would like to report on here on this page before you contact me and express your interest in one of my litters.
1. All of our puppies will not go to their new family until the 9th week. When our puppies move out, they have been dewormed several times, vaccinated, chipped, have been examined by a vet, shown to our breeding warden twice (litter collection and litter inspection shortly before moving out) and of course have a German FCI / VDH / CCI e.V. recognized pedigree, because the puppy was born in born in our breeding facility in Germany.
2. Each of our puppies leaves with their pedigree and all the above-mentioned papers. Even if the new puppy parents don't want to breed or argue that they don't need a chip or pedigree, or, or...! Unfortunately, rumors are often spread, such as: “I don’t need a pedigree,..” etc.
Here is some information about why a pedigree can be very important for you as a dog owner:
- An FCI / VDH recognized pedigree shows you the ancestors of your new family member, very often also HD and/or other health evaluations of the ancestors. The dogs that we use for breeding have a DNA profile so that, in the event of an incident, the parents can also be identified precisely.
- An FCI / VDH recognized pedigree is very important if you go on holiday with your Cane Corso Italiano and cross borders. There are countries that have very strict rules for certain breeds, which the Cane Corso Italiano, for example, looks very similar to. Here you have an advantage and are on the safe side if you can prove that it is a purebred Cane Corso Italiano; only FCI-recognized papers are accepted for this. Every pedigree of a Cane Corso Italiano officially bred in Germany that has recognized FCI papers also has VDH and CCI e.V. recognized papers, because the FCI is the umbrella organization, including the VDH and the only VDH recognized pedigree dog breeding club for the Cane Corso Italiano is the CCI e.V.
- Registering a Cane Corso Italiano can cause problems with your municipality if you cannot provide an FCI-recognized pedigree if a breed list exists. Unfortunately, many listed breeds are increasingly being “hidden” under the Cane Corso Italiano, as it is only listed in the federal states of Brandenburg and Bavaria. I experienced it myself when registering our first dog. The pedigree was requested, directly with the threat of a phenotypic examination and a demand for photos of the dog if no pedigree was available. In this case, if you don't have a pedigree and a listed dog has been hidden underneath, the worst case scenario is that the dog will be confiscated if it belongs to a certain category to which rules apply. For this reason, I have made it my mission if I want to breed, then with all the consequences and regulations in order to give my puppies and puppy parents the best possible start in life.
3. Pure price inquiries are ignored because these are living creatures whose breed the future puppy parents have hopefully already found out about. Regarding the breed, I will of course answer any further questions, but every future puppy parent should be aware that a living creature costs money and that we spare no expense or effort to breed Cane Corso Italiano that are as close to the standard, breed-typical, healthy and temperamentally stable as possible.
4. We would like to get to know our future puppy parents personally so that we can decide whether a Cane Corso Italiano from our breeding is right for you.
5. If you and we agree that a baby will move in with you, we would be very happy if you would come to visit us regularly from the puppy's fifth week of life to visit the babies and thus be an important part of their socialization to be.
6. We place our puppies according to certain points of criticism:
-If you have a request regarding gender, we will of course comply with this request.
-The character development of every puppy is individual. Every breeder can see in the first few weeks in the whelping box who is more of a calm breed and who is more of a bully. In order to find the right puppy for you and your family, please trust us to give us the opportunity to do our best to ensure that the puppy's character is a good fit for you and your family. For this reason, I don't look very positively towards color requests, because the character of the puppy comes first and has to suit you! However, if two in a color that you want suits your personality in my opinion, that is of course a different matter. But I can already tell you before each litter what fur colors we expect.
7. Please contact us in good time if you are interested in a puppy from one of our litters so that we can get to know each other and tell you whether we still have capacity for the upcoming litter.
As I have hopefully been able to convey a little on this page, my dog breeding is my passion and I desperately want the best families for our puppies and would be very happy if I could help you and the puppy with advice and support.
